One thing I was surprised is that Flickr is served by Yahoo.com.
Now I rarely use Yahoo.com. I totally forgot the portal site that was prevalent a decade ago.
I bought my first DSLR camera in 2007, Canon EOS 350D.
Yes, I was really addicted in photographs, so I joined in a photograph hobby group.
My hobby 'was' photographs.
I still have some wonderful pictures I took in 2007-2009 when I tripped in Australia and Europe.
Flickr provides users with some good functions such as Gallery, Community, etc.
The screenshot above is a community page when I searched 'Florida State University'.
This community page can be a good resource for one of our assignments 'Community observation paper'.
However, most of communities I have found are not active.
I think that most Flickr users do Flickr as a personal use.
I was trying to search some Korean communities in Flickr, but there are few.
I found a news article about Flickr in Korea.
Flickr began to service in Korea in 2006. That's surprising. pretty early.
However, Flickr stopped its service in Korea in January 2013.
That is the reason why there are few Korean users in Flickr.
