We have to know Learnist. Please take a look at the video first.
Learnist is a social media tool regarding any learning topics.
It allows users to not only search topics they are interested in, but also create their own topics they are interested in.
There are THREE types of buttons when you click 'ADD'.
First, 'board' is a kind of 'topic' or 'categories' or 'page' you are going to make.
Then you add 'links' or 'images' as the contents into the 'board'.
It is obvious that Learnist is helpful for establishing personal learning networks or informal learning.
I believe that Produsage 2 and PLN can adapt Learnist as a major tool.
This is Dr.Dennen's Learnist page. She created 'board' named as 'Creating a Personal Learning Network'.
Then she added several links and videos into the board.
I thought that a blog would be used as my major tool for PLN,
but I realized that there are many cool tools in a sense of Web 2.0
Whenever I discover many Web 2.0 tools, I am frustrated because I feel that I am out-dated.
I have believe that I am kinda techy, but I can't say like that now.
I am definitely out of dated about Web2.0 world.
I am beginning to see a trend that everybody is picking up Learnist and describing it on their blogs. I am exploring using Learnist for my own Produsage 2 assignment and so far, things are looking good!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are definitely not outdated about Web 2.0 world. If you are, I think a lot more of us can be described as "extinct"! ;)
Bro,
DeleteLearnist is going to be one way for my P2. But I have additional thing!
We should be sensitive and active to follow tech trends in order to survive in Web2.0 world!
Hmmm, I don't know about learnist. I loved the idea at first, but when I used it I felt that Pinterest is better. It has easier concept (just pinning) and boards are visually easier to see. Just a thought.
